Harry A. Davis, 100, died Thursday, May 14, 2020. He was the husband of the late Doris E. (Ferri) Davis. Born in Taunton MA, he was a son of the late Joseph B. and Mary Catherine (DuPont) Davis. Harry was a diamond dye maker with the Okonite Corporation for 42 years, retiring in 1981. He was a WWII Army Veteran and the recipient of the Purple Heart serving with the Tank Destroyer Battalion in the European Theater. He was a member and shop steward of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1450, AFL-CIO. A member of VFW Post Primmer-Carderia Post and the Trinity Men’s Club of East Providence. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing and golfing. He is survived by his son, Richard Davis and his wife Lynn, and daughter Gail Jones and predeceased by his daughter Carolyn Engle, son in law John Jones and sister Florence Kirk. He also leaves 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
His family would like to give a special thanks to the RI Veteran's Home, especially Echo 1 and Echo 2 for the loving care they gave Harry.
