Donna Marie "Mimi" Cummings, 65, of Tampa, FL entered eternal life on Easter Sunday April 12th, 2020. She was the dearly beloved wife of Jeff Cummings for 46 years. Born in Tampa, FL she was the daughter of the late William and Virginia Taylor.
Donna and her husband resided in Tampa, FL for most of their lives where she worked for Verizon. After retiring, Donna and Jeff moved to Rhode Island where she took her most important and loved job as “Mimi” to her granddaughter Gracie. Donna’s favorite things involved sitting on the beach, shopping and most of all, time with family and friends. Her love of life and joyful spirit was contagious to everyone around her. Anyone that knew Donna would have two distinct words to describe her; she SPARKLED and GLITTERED.
Donna is survived by her husband Jeff, her daughter Danielle Murphy, son-in-law Mark Murphy and most cherished granddaughter Grace Virginia Menendez Murphy, her sister Patty Martin, sisters-in-law Kathy Taylor and Lori Cummings, brother-in-laws Kevin Cummings and Rodney Martin, nieces and nephews Kristina (Chris and Brianna), Dona (Greg, Lexi, Jett, Brock), Donny and Jamie, Tiffany and Roman, Kyle (Lauren, Kaden, Kinley and Kace) Jeffrey and Lauren, and Alisha. Also all her extended Murphy family in Jamestown RI and Los Angeles California.
Donna is preceded in death by her brother Donald, sister Virginia and parents Bill and Virginia.
Her funeral liturgy will be privately held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Narragansett RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
